A seasoned old trumpeter who seems to have played through a thousand smoky nights. A little tired, a little ironic, and still full of jazz.
His worn cap, loose shirt and sly half-smile tell their own story — while the trumpet, glowing against the restrained decorative background, remains his faithful companion.
This painting is part of my Cat Jazz Band series, where each musician has his own character, history and rhythm.

The series “Cats Around” is my way of speaking about people through the image of a cat —
their habits, weaknesses, moods, and small joys.
