“Between Water and Sleep” was born from a quiet moment in the studio, when I was thinking about that fragile state between reality and dreaming. I wanted to paint not a person, but a presence — a figure that seems to belong both to the world of water and to the world of inner silence. The water here is not just a landscape; it is a border, a mirror, a passage.

I worked slowly, letting the light and reflections guide the composition, searching for a balance between clarity and dissolution. The figure appears as if emerging from a dream, or returning back into it. For me, this painting is about that brief moment when time pauses and you are no longer sure whether you are awake or still dreaming.
