“Behind the scenes of the war. The Red Sonata” 2024
Oil on Canvas
110 x 80 cm
In this creation, I’ve delved into the emotional juxtapositions found within conflicts, portraying a soldier immersed in a moment of musical solace amidst the echoes of war. I used oil paint to blend Realism with Impressionistic streaks, capturing the sharp contrasts and turbulent energies of both battle and peace. My hope is to evoke reflection on the resilience and complexity of the human spirit in adversity, bringing an intense, yet hopeful energy to any room it inhabits.
This picture is about war, pain, destruction, memories of a peaceful life, about hands that, in addition to a machine gun, remember the magical melody of a violin. Music is eternal, the war will end.
