I spent my childhood in the Soviet Union, in a country of total scarcity. I can remember a lot about my childhood, good and bad, but childhood is like a part of the wonderful film I have seen, where the baby learns the world around him.
I was very fond of oranges or tangerines. There was no difference because there was neither one nor the other. And only twice a year, on big holidays, parents brought children’s gifts from work where among sweets and chocolates there were one or two oranges. And it was my favorite treat, the pleasure of which I stretched for a week. And I saw in my dreams that someday I will find one big juicy and tasty orange…
